Hair Replacement Treatment

Our procedure

With our hair replacement treatment you don't have to risk surgery, or hope that "spray and pray" chemicals will work for you, and you can carry on with your normal routine straight away, even if that routine involves running triathlons. Many of the celebrities endorsing hair replacement have undergone very similar procedures.

The theory of how our procedure works is very simple, but it only works via state of the art advancements in hair replacment techniques. We "graft" synthetic skin with human hair exactly matching your own colour, density, thickness and wave on to your scalp. The synthetic skin is nearly identical to human skin, and allows your scalp to breath normally.

Hair loss

Hair loss affects people in different ways and at different levels. Here are some pictures of different types of hair loss.

If you suffer hair loss of large amounts in a short period of time please consult your doctor. Don’t worry this can usually be treated successfully.

Male pattern baldness

Male Pattern Baldness

There are many reasons why men go bald. Men aged between 20 and 45 may experience male pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness gets its name because it is a typical sequence or pattern of hair loss. It usually starts from crown to temples initially thinning over a period of time and may lead to total hair loss on the surface of the head. Research into male pattern baldness suggests that certain men are genetically predisposed.

The hair follicles are normally affected after puberty in a male. Testosterone is converted to DHT (Dihydrotesterone). DHT is an enzyme which causes hair thinning leading to baldness.

This can also affect women who have a higher amount of male hormones than female hormones. This balance can result in a similar kind of hair loss. Women usually find that hair thins throughout the head but mainly on the surface.

Alopecia

Alopecia areata

It is believed that Alopecia areata describes a process evolving white blood cells. White blood cells attacking the immune systems causing hair to fall out in smooth circular patches throughout. It can affect any part of the body that hair grows.

Alopecia universalis

Alopecia universalis is suggested to be caused by the same process as Alopecia areata (white blood cells). But Alopecia areata causes total hair loss throughout the head leaving a clean smooth scalp.

Alopecia totalis

Has the same cause as alopecia areata and alopecia totalis. Alopecia totalis results in total hair loss throughout the body, loss of eye lashes, eyebrows and all body hair. in most cases hair does grow back.

Alopecia

The young girl pictured above was 2 years old when she lost her hair. She is now in her teens. Alopecia totalis resulted in the loss of all hair throughout her body. A couple of years ago she started to see improvement. Eye lashes, eye brows and body hair all grew back. Patches of hair started to appear on her scalp but unfortunately it did not last.
